Virginia Freyermuth, Ph.D. (Author)
Dr. Freyermuth is a multiple award-winning art educator, illustrator, painter and portrait artist . She illustrated and designed the Norbert book series, authored by her daughter, Julie Steines, winning nine prestigious book awards. Together they founded the kindhearted mother/daughter independent publishing company, Polly Parker Press.
Dr. Freyermuth has taught art to all ages levels over her distinguished 40+ year career. She was the 1995 National Outstanding Art Teacher of the Walt Disney American Teacher Awards; the 1994 Massachusetts Teacher of the Year, administered by the MA Department of Education; and was named the 2014 Higher Education Art Educator of the Year by the R.I. Art Education Association. She holds Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts Degrees in Painting, and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Concentration in Art Education.
An avid arts advocate, she has authored numerous journal articles and was a chapter author for the peer-reviewed book The Heart of Art Education: Holistic Approaches to Creativity, Integration, and Transformation. Mark Steines (Photographer)
Emmy award-winning Mark Steines is known as one of the entertainment industries’ most dynamic and well-respected television journalists. Steines, along with Leeza Gibbons, are the annual hosts of KTLA’s Rose Parade broadcast.
From small town Iowa to the red carpets of Hollywood, Steines, a three-time Emmy winner, has established himself as one of the most trusted and charismatic figures in entertainment news. Since landing in Hollywood, he has interviewed thousands of A-list actors, producers, musicians and athletes during his 17 years with Entertainment Tonight and more than 6 years hosting Hallmark Channel's Home & Family.
